#3: Finding balance

The Word for Today
At some point in our life, we must let go, letting go is a natural part of growing up; an infant learning to walk lets go of a parent’s hand to find the balance for the first time. Children, after all, will leave home eventually. As parents, we have to learn to let go as they are no longer dependent as they once were. We may do a monkey dance to see them go back to school, but there is always a part of our inner life that has a sense of loss. Learning to ride a bicycle we have to trust what at first seems to be impossible; balance, but balance comes with practice and perseverance.

Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.  Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established.  Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil

(Proverbs 4:25-27)
So, therefore, in the same way, trust in our Father, God will hold us and guide us with His Spirit; teaching us a balance in life. We need to know God; let us practice faith, learn to yield to him. Let us learn to pray without ceasing; for the Bible says when we ask we shall receive from Him through prayer. Let’s pray, seek first the mind of God in all that we say and do; so we can have a balanced life.
